Leonard defeated “TJQKAKQJT” heads-up to lock up the title. The runner-up still did well for their $320 buy-in as they took home a combined prize worth $12,248.

Third-place finisher “SovseFlemming” was the only other player to walk away with a five-figure prize. Their $7,407 main prize pool haul was boosted by a mightly impressive $4,528 from the bounty prize pool; only Leonard won more bounties.

POWERFEST #12-L: $20K Gtd Deep

Entries: 2,316
Buy-in: $11
Prize pool: $23,160
Places paid: 312

POWERFEST isn’t only about big buy-in events because the lower buy-in tournaments are also creating some substantial prizes. Take the POWERFEST #12-L: $20K Gtd Deep for example, an $11 buy-in that saw 2,316 players compete and create a $23,160 prize pool shared among the top 312 finishers.

That $11 investment swelled to at least $242 for the players who navigated their way to the eight-handed final table and to a four-figure prize by the time only four players remained.

“Labarumm” was the first of the grinders to win more than a thousand dollars, taking home $1,151 for their fourth-place exit. “ChangeDeNom” has plenty of loose change now they banked $1,730 for their third-place exit, while the runner-up “kroul1ke1337” saw their $11 turn into $2,686.

The player of the hour was “Upstate IPA” who emerged victoriously and saw their partypoker bankroll padded with a cool $3,800. You don’t have to spend big to win big at partypoker.
