The champion defeated “Snusklubba” heads-up for their second victory of the day, resigning the runner-up to a $5,613 consolation prize that was padded with $1,900 worth of bounties; only RentCollection collected more scalps.

Earlier at the final table, “Sandor Clegane” crashed out in eighth-place ($1,133), “elmal”busted in seventh-place ($1,219) and sixth-place went to “Sega Mega drive” ($1,511).

“Stylegames66” ($2,448) and “ShiraFTW” ($3,782) followed them to the sidelines, because the elimination of “Cactussen” in third-place ($4,309) sent the tournament into the heads-up stage and we know how that panned out.

POWERFEST #11-HR: $30K Gtd PLO 6-Max Fast PKO

Entries: 62
Buy-in: $530
Prize pool: $31,775
Places ITM: 9

One of our Brazilian members of Team partypoker, Renato “renato_nomura” Nomura, came agonisingly close to banking a POWERFEST title of the series, falling at the final hurdle in the $530 buy-in POWERFEST #11-HR: $30K Gtd PLO 6-Max Fast PKO.

Nomura reached the final table of the POWERFEST #03-SHR: $500K Gtd on Day 1 for $25,200 and added another $6,789 by finishing second in this Pot-Limit Omaha event.

It was “PottiPete95” who sent Nomura to the rail, locking up the $4,036 top prize as a result. The winner also scooped $4,216 from the bounty prize pool, which included their own bounty, for an impressive return on their investment.

Everyone else won more than $1,500 for reaching the six-handed final table. Shout-outs to “BRAER_71RUS” ($1,594), “KanielOutis” ($2,018), “Sweeet Jooonny” ($3,074) and “layla”($2,857) who were the other four finalists.

POWERFEST X 8

*includes bounty payments

For day 2 we can also say it was a very successful one. Again there as a lot of great events, nice prizes and interesting action at the tables. So far, it seems like this is going to be a series to remember. Find out how it was in day 3 in the text below.

Team partypoker’s Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard continued his impressive run of form by becoming a POWERFEST champion on Day 3.

Leonard cashed 10 times in Las Vegas during the World Series of Poker, banking more than $200,000 in the process. Now he has continued to impress in the online world by taking down a High Roller PKO event for more than $24,000.

Some $1,533,014 was awarded on POWERFEST X Day 3 as 16 champions were crowned. Here’s the best of the action.

POWERFEST X Day 3 Recap

POWERFEST #14-H: $150K Gtd Big Antes PKO

Entries: 488
Buy-in: $320
Prize pool: $150,304
Places paid: 64

A field of 488 competed in the POWERFEST #14-H: $150K Gtd Big Antes PKO and created a $150,304 prize pool that was shared half with the top 64 finishers and half as bounty payments.

Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard was the eventual champion, a fantastic result that was worth $10,812 for finishing in first place. Leonard also secured $14,104 worth of bounties on his way to victory.

Leonard defeated “TJQKAKQJT” heads-up to lock up the title. The runner-up still did well for their $320 buy-in as they took home a combined prize worth $12,248.

Third-place finisher “SovseFlemming” was the only other player to walk away with a five-figure prize. Their $7,407 main prize pool haul was boosted by a mightly impressive $4,528 from the bounty prize pool; only Leonard won more bounties.

Congratulations to everyone who cashed, especially Leonard who has set himself up nicely for a massive series.

POWERFEST X 9

POWERFEST #13-SHR: $500K Gtd PKO

Entries: 97
Buy-in: $5,200
Prize pool: $500,000
Places paid: 16

Leonard’s teammate Roberto “R_Romanello” Romanello also joined him in the winner’s circle after he reached the final table of the POWERFEST #13-SHR: $500K Gtd PKO event, a tournament commanding a $5,200 buy-in.

Nobody at the final table walked away with less than $11,000 after we took bounties in the consideration.

“CaseyWells” was joined on the sidelines by “tdlvechicknbn” and then by “Tigerbluff” who won a $150,000 Gtd PKO event on Day 2 of POWERFEST. “Bartolito” fell in fifth place before Romanello ran out of steam and busted in fourth.

Romanello banked $23,314 for his deep run, plus an additional bounty payment of $11,050 for a total prize worth $34,364.

Third place went to “M0ng0lit0”, which set up a heads-up battle between “CygnusCross” and “PayAndPlay”. It was the latter who emerged victorious, winning their second POWERFEST event in as many days, this one worth a colossal $46,653 plus a huge $113,100 from the bounty prize pool.

POWERFEST X 10

POWERFEST #12-L: $20K Gtd Deep

Entries: 2,316
Buy-in: $11
Prize pool: $23,160
Places paid: 312

POWERFEST isn’t only about big buy-in events because the lower buy-in tournaments are also creating some substantial prizes. Take the POWERFEST #12-L: $20K Gtd Deep for example, an $11 buy-in that saw 2,316 players compete and create a $23,160 prize pool shared among the top 312 finishers.

That $11 investment swelled to at least $242 for the players who navigated their way to the eight-handed final table and to a four-figure prize by the time only four players remained.

“Labarumm” was the first of the grinders to win more than a thousand dollars, taking home $1,151 for their fourth-place exit. “ChangeDeNom” has plenty of loose change now they banked $1,730 for their third-place exit, while the runner-up “kroul1ke1337” saw their $11 turn into $2,686.

The player of the hour was “Upstate IPA” who emerged victoriously and saw their partypoker bankroll padded with a cool $3,800. You don’t have to spend big to win big at partypoker.

Real name cash games

partypoker has today released a new software update that will allow players to use their real names on cash game tables instead of their screen names. Offering real name cash games reduces player concerns around anonymity and the chance to build more of a community feel around the tables.

1.  Dashboard overview; personalized lobby display showing players chip stack and position whilst tournament is in play

2.  Digital tournament clock providing a visual improvement for players

3.  Improved player list to include rank, player name (screenname). As the tournament progress, Bounty on a players head and Chips/Prizes will be displayed

4.  Quick access sub-navigation tabs to provide quick access to vital tournament sections

5.  Updated title bar display including the total buy-in and the tournament ID

6.  New colors for tournament statuses to enhance the visuals for the player

7.  Position & stack; a new data point that will display the position and stack of the player at the end of each hand

Other features of the release on partypoker today include:

1.  Players using Windows and Mac will now have the ability to play six fast forward tables at a time instead of the previous four

2.  $0.01/$0.02 has now been added to the Fast Forward lobby for the lower stakes, recreational players
