You can also sharpen your game by playing strategically to complete the trickier Challenges.  The start of a new quarter means the start of a new set of Poker Challenges! All Challenges Points will be reset on 1st October and new Minor and Major Challenges set for players.

Through our innovative loyalty program, players can earn rewards including free cash, playthrough bonuses, poker tickets. Additionally, the opportunity to a package for the Unibet Open, the next stop of which will be in beautiful Bucharest!

How do I earn Challenges Points?

For each poker type, you’ll always have two Challenges active – a Minor and a Major. Minor Challenges are the easiest, e.g. ‘Be dealt a suited hand’, whereas Major Challenges usually require more strategy, e.g. ‘Win a hand postflop when you have any hand worse than one pair’.

Each Challenge is split into steps, and that’s how many times you have to complete the task to receive your Challenges Points. A Challenge showing 5/30 means you’ve completed the task 5 times, and you’ve got 25 more to go before your points are awarded.

Multi-table tournaments don’t have their own Challenges – instead, they award Challenges Points directly. For every €1 you spend in tournament fees, you’ll receive 100 points.

What can I do with Challenges Points?

Challenges Points track your progression, and you’ll start earning rewards as soon as you get 50 points. Rewards include free cash, new avatars, playthrough bonuses, poker tickets and bonus points. You can then exchange any bonus points you earn for extra rewards of your choice!

Unibet Poker to launch new online MTT schedule

Unibet have announced that they are overhauling their online MTT schedule. Three years after launching their standalone Poker platform with Relax Gaming.  Until now, Unibet has focused much of their efforts on software improvements and headline cash game promotions. As a result, their efforts won them the EGR ‘Poker Innovation of the Year’ three years in a row. However, Unibet are now looking to make themselves more competitive on the MTT front. With flagship Sunday tournaments being added to the client for the first time, two new blind structures for players to enjoy, a space theme and numerous improvements to the MTT lobby. The new schedule was devised in conjunction with players and Unibet ambassadors. Furthermore, the operator have said that they will optimize the schedule on an ongoing basis. They monitor this by continuing to take feedback from players on their community site.

The new schedule will begin to populate in the Unibet Poker client on the morning of October 2nd, with the first Sunday Majors taking place on October 8th.

The details of these flagship Sunday (hold’em) tournaments are as follows:

Unibet is also planning to improve their qualifier structure for live events soon.  Pooling all low stakes live event qualifiers under one umbrella. In addition to allowing players to choose which Unibet tour they would like to play a final qualifier for. The date for that change is yet to be announced.

Unibet Poker Leader feels the timing is right to make change

David Pomroy, Head of Poker at Unibet said, “As tournament players ourselves, we’ve been planning to overhaul our MTT schedule for a while but wanted to focus on software improvements first. The client is in great shape now and so it’s time we gave MTT players at Unibet and beyond something to shout about. The new structures we’re adding will feature antes from the start and give players a much smoother transition between levels. We’re also excited to add larger prizepools in fields where players don’t have to battle against thousands of other players. As always we’ll be encouraging feedback from players and will tweak and optimize things over time. We’re also going to be aggressive with guarantees across the schedule, increasing them wherever we see increased demand.”
The launch of the schedule will coincide with a re-work of a popular Unibet promotion, Moving On Up, rewarding players with cash game tickets at increasing stakes each week once they have played a minimum number of MTTs. The value of the tickets given away will increase each week in October, culminating with a €25 cash game ticket. Moreover, given to all players who have played five MTTs on each of six separate days the final week.
